Name: InuyashaSeiyuu: Yamaguchi Kappei (Japanese) and Richard Cox (English)
Age: At least 50... but according to Rumiko Takahashi, he has the mindset of a 16 or 17 year old.
Race: Hanyou (half demon). His mother was a human and his father was a huge dog demon.
History: Inuyasha was born to a human mother and an extremely powerful dog-demon lord, who I assume could take a human form. His parents died when he was small, so he barely remembers them. In the very begining of the story Inuyasha gets sealed into an eternal sleep by Kikyou, a priestess. Fifty years later, Kagome comes through the Bone-Eater's Well and is forced to pull out the arrow which was sealing Inuyasha, so that he was reborn.
Appearance: Inuyasha has long silver hair and a pair of kawaii little "puppy" ears. He has slitted amber eyes. He wears a red (sometimes pink) outfit that consists of fundoshi, juban (the inner kimono), kariginu (the red outer jacket) and hakama (his pants). Just as a note, a kariginu is a hunting jacket with slits at the top of the shoulders to allow freedom of movement. His canine teeth are actually fangs and he has long, deadly claws. He is seen carrying a sword which is actually made from his father's fang and changes from sword to fang (literally), called Tetsusaiga. Around his neck is a rosary which has a very special spell on it...
Personality: Okay this is a hard one. On the outside Inuyasha appears to "macho" and tough although he actually is very tough, outgoing, and rude, he also has a nice and sometimes shy side. He is a bit reckless and he enjoys to fight (but he doesn't enjoy killing) but he gets very jealous over Kagome. He hides his more tender feelings behind his rude mask is what I like to think of him. He can really be extremely sweet when he cares about someone.
Romance: Fifty years ago Inuyasha fell in love with a miko named Kikyou, however it was a very tragic relationship and it ended up with both of them dying (actually Inuyasha was sealed up, by Kikyou when she thought he betrayed her). When Kikyou comes back, it's pretty hard to analyze his feelings for her. It seems that he still cares for her but his main feeling is responsibility. Responsibilty for her death and maybe even for her resurrection. This is problimatic because he is also in love with Kikyou's reincarnation, Kagome.
Special Quirks: Because Inuyasha is a hanyou, every new moon he turns completly human. He looses his fangs, claws, demon powers and his hair turns black. To balance that off Inuyasha can also turn completly demon but I don't want to go to far into that. The less spoilers the better!
My Opinion: I absolutly love inuyasha! He is my favorite male character in the series. Aside from the fact that he's so very bishounen I love the way he acts. He seems all tough, yet when Kagome cries he acts completly opposite. He really is compationate and responsible but he hides that under his tough exterior.
