^_^ See you all later.
o_o;; We're leaving for New York tomorrow. I'm still in a slight state of shock... usually we plan vacations months in advance, and this happened like... o_O; last week? I'm about halfway through packing now.
This makes me wish I had a CD player... I would really not prefer being separated from my MP3 collection. ;_; But buying one now would make me feel guilty, so I'll make do.
Alright... sorry for the lack of posts. The day before yesterday, I had nothing to say, and yesterday my parents monopolized the phone line, so. And now I have a lot of things to report. Unless I lose patience and just give up, this will be a long post, but no where near as deep as the one below. Gomen ne.
In chronological order:
I finally capitulated and eight other Dir en grey MP3s joined "Cage" on my playlist. I'm beginning to think that Deg is an acquired taste because I've listened to these songs multiple times, and only now have they caught on. The majority of the songs are from the album Gauze.
This is going to take some explaining because I never mentioned it before. There's a very good youth symphony in the city, and my sister and I auditioned. To make a long story short, the audition was yesterday. I screwed up twice - both during my solo piece, Saint-Saen's concerto number one in A minor. Damn memory slips. Well, regardless, when we got home my (now former ;_;) teacher called. He's the cello coach for the orchestra, and he's one of the ones that decides who makes the cut and who doesn't. But he called us to tell my mum that both me and my sister got in. And not because we're both (former T_T) students of his; the conductor wanted both of us. Now, I'm not supposed to tell because letters are being sent out next week, but oh well. I'm not sure if I'm happy or not.
And today, about an hour ago, while I was watching the Utena tapes Erin lent me, a Gundam Wing anthology doujinshi arrived in the mail. ^_^ List price is 880 yen, and I got it for $4 plus $2 shipping. And it's practically brand new. ^_^ Good deal. I love eBay. *huggles*
I have nothing more to say. o_o
And this is what comes of staying up late and talking with Rob. He's the one who brought up string theory, which introduced me to the idea of spacetime. I started pondering aloud about Time, and basically... well, after a whole series of questions, I said, "Maybe Time is the dimension that holds together the other three... Because without Time, what do Depth, Height, and Width matter?"
The following three paragraphs are what happened after asking the above - only my end of the conversation.
In Angel Sanctuary, the angel Adam Kadamon "freezes" time. S/He stops it. Arachne is wandering through a time-stopped Tokyo, looking for his cousin Kurai.
So Adam Kadamon stopped only a part of Time. Otherwise, Arachne wouldn't have been able to do what he did. Or Adam Kadamon is outside of Time. Or Arachne is outside of the Time Adam Kadamon stopped. Or any combination of the above. But see, Time didn't stop in Heaven or Hell. Only on the Earth. So does that mean that if you stopped Time on a certain dimension, all things originating from that dimension are stopped? Because other human characters with souls of beings that came from Heaven and Hell are still moving around. Kira's soul came from Hell. Setsuna's came from Heaven, and both are not frozen.
I'm thinking that either 1) Adam Kadamon froze only a very select portion of Time, or 2) Adam Kadamon froze Earth Time and other creatures weren't affected because they came from other places. Whether or not Adam Kadamon is inside or outside of Time seems irrelevant.
Mou, sabishii... minna wa doko? T_T Erin, Kathleen, John, are you guys alright? At college, safe and sound?
I have a headache. And I've watched the Utena movie twice in less than 24 hours. But that has absolutely nothing to do with my headache. I swear. It's so beautiful, especially the school *gracefully moving architecture* and the highway-car scene *gorgeous symbolism* ... *sigh* I like the movie better than the anime, but both are excellent... I like the movie soundtrack very much.
Since it's decided that we're going to New York city... well, me being the me I am, I looked up some Japanese bookstores that carry both manga and jrock. Book-Off, Asahiya... *________* As excited as I am, I'm a bit frightened at the prospect... I only have so much money. >_>;;;;

Driving me, John (the big guy), and Rob home from Anime Night, Erin had Bara no seidou in the CD player... listening to organ music and Klaha's voice while it thundered and rained outside. Lightning has never been a favorite of mine, but the music drowned the thunder out so I was okay.
Honestly, anima, I really don't know. I might have heard of a band called Daybreak or Day-break, but I can't say with any certainty. >_< Sorry I can't help you.
