crack for wm rm recorderI read Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis today - I was surprised at how short it is. It's a novella about 63-65 pages long, and a very interesting, very sad story. Gregor Samsa wakes up and finds himself a giant brown bug - cockroach-like, in my opinion. The rest of the book is an account of his final days. Worth reading.
Writing kanji is somewhat therapeutic for me. It clears my mind because I just focus on the stroke order and making a beautiful character, and to do that, I have to push all the other distractions out of my head.
Lately, little snatches of music have been spontaneously popping into my head, so I've been investigating computer composition software, just to get the thoughts recorded somewhere. Rob suggested Cakewalk's software, so I've been browsing their website. At about $130, the price isn't too bad. Nowhere near as exorbitant as Adobe Photoshop.
Speaking of Rob, he got Bara no seidou, first-press, off of eBay! *______* Urayamashii yo...
This morning... sometimes, I feel like I'm surrounded by morons. In a sea of retards. I was sitting with Kathryn and a few other acquiantances, and I couldn't help but think about how shallow the conversation was. Or maybe I'm just arrogant and it wasn't really shallow - just a difference in interests.

But I like yours better. No kidding. :) Looks like patches of cloth on a quilt, seamless transition. Love the colors too.

I've been wanting to read Kafka's work... now's a good time as any. :)

My sister read The Metamorphosis for english class this year, she thought I'd like it, but I never took up her offer. Now that I have too reccomendations I may read it.
Heh, I know what you mean when you say morons. I thought I liked the people I sat with at lunch last year, these days I can barely sit through a conversation at the table.

I love Franz Kafka's work...I'd recommend reading The Trial if you'd like some more of his stuff. Very surreal.
I notice that conversations often seem shallow with people at work, too...the topics don't have any deeper significance or meaning, usually. Ah well, it can't particularly be helped...you could very well be right on the shallowness, I think, because I've often felt the same.
