Smashing Pumpkins "A Killer In Me"
I had a sore throat starting monday...I thought nothing of it and blamed it on the cold january air. The sore throat developed into other things. I skipped my classes yesterday and today, and I went to the campus doctor's today. Sarah drove me, which is a good thing. I've been too weak to do much else. Liz thought it might have been somewhere between the flu and phemonia. The doctor thought so too, so I had a flu test, and some Xrays of my chest. Good news, it's not phemonia. Good news, it's not the flu. Bad news, that means it's bacterial broncitus. I was put on an antibiotic, got some cough syrup (with codine, weeee), and a puffer. The doctor said if I'm not improving by Monday to call back, so I guess that means I'll be better by Monday, and most likely back to classes on Tuesday. I've been sleeping alot. Liz and Sarah have been really helpful to me, giving me tea and things like that. I've been worried about Puppy. Puppy's dad just left for Iraq early this morning and there isn't anything I can do but wait and hope he makes it home safe. There are reasons I don't like war and if anyone thinks it's cause I don't support the soldiers, they're wrong. I fear for losses on both sides, and now I just have to hope with all my heart I don't know another statistic. If Bush declares war on Iran....lets just hope that stays an if. Goodnight. I'm going to get some food, take some medicine, and go back to bed.

No matter what Bush says about war-this and war-that, I don't think it's gonna happen unless there's a major troop shuffle. Or a draft, God forbid. I'm really frightened for this next four years. One of those things where you clutch the arms of your seat because of a sense of impending disaster.
